Our highly regarded Memory Care Unit is located within the Skilled Care area, and it is designed for individuals experiencing all stages of Alzheimer's disease and other related dementia. Our compassionate approach to dementia care is shown to increase comfort and reduce anxiety for residents with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. Long-term residents living in the Memory Care Unit often require advanced personal care assistance readily provided by our nursing staff. Our wellness philosophy and personalized approach puts the resident first and nurtures the health and well-being of the whole person - mind, body and spirit.

The mission of Congregational Home's Memory Care program is to:
Enrich the lives of persons living with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia
Support their family members and caregivers with kindness and compassion
Serve as a role model for other facilities seeking to provide quality Alzheimer's care

Activities
The program includes activities based on an individual resident's abilities, offering structured days that have been proven to increase comfort and reduce anxiety. This quiet, nurturing environment incorporates small group programs, such as exercise, music, cooking/baking, arts and crafts, word games and other activities.
